Abstract In this paper, we proposed a method to calculate the linear distance value according to the location of the delivery box and the stereo camera. The proposed method recognizes individual delivery boxes using YOLOv4, and calculates the vertical plane position of the camera and the linear distance between the boxes using the IMU sensor mounted on the stereo camera. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm, a laboratory-scale experimental space was constructed, and the measured distance of the actual delivery box and the output distance of the proposed algorithm were compared.
